Most of these photographs were taken north of the Luberon Mountains, east of Avignon, in an area where Greg LeMond once trained. Mt. Ventoux is the highest point in the vicinity. It's a neat area in which to bicycle. I explored it on a bicycle camping trip led by Backroads. We met some nice people in the countryside, and the folks on the trip and the trip leaders were great. We went through a week's worth of excellent French wine in four days; our trip leaders responded to this by buying us more! |
